He has created designs for over 50 shows at both the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and Jazz at Lincoln Center for artists such as Alicia Keys, Gabriel Iglesias, the Wayans Brothers, the Chieftains, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Paquito D'Rivera, Phoebe Snow, Stanley Jordan, Kenny Garrett, Jackie Mason, and others. He has previously served as the Resident Lighting Designer for Dreamcatcher Repertory Theater, Calpulli Mexican Dance Company, and Luna Stage. His work has been seen at venues such as The Apollo Theater, Carnegie Hall, The Public Theater, The Huntington Avenue Theater, Westport Country Playhouse, La Mama, Weston Playhouse, TheatreSquared and others. ![]() Jorge is a freelance Lighting Designer based in Boston and New York. She received additional training at the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, where she continues to serve as the Annual Young Playwrights Conference design mentor. She recently won the KCACTF Region II Award for Distinguished Scenic Design for "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime" at Albright College, where she currently teaches and directs.ĭahlia received her MFA in Scenic Design from the Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama and her BA from Wellesley College. Recent credits include designs for Tony Award-winning companies such as the Dallas Theater Center and Trinity Rep. She creates performance spaces that are an invitation to conversation- evocative, eloquent spaces of possibility actors, artists, technicians, and audiences. As an artist and collaborator, Dahlia is interested in exploring unlikely connections and using her work to build cultural bridges. Dahlia was born and raised in Abu Dhabi- a diverse, multicultural city that fostered her love for rich and varied traditions of storytelling.
